ReMaine Wild is a state-wide organization of professional wildlife rehabilitators and associated professionals in Maine dedicated to rehabilitating wild animals for release back into the wild. They focus on networking and education to improve wildlife rehabilitation. This website is designed to give information about their organization and wildlife rehabilitation in general, information on procedures for dealing with injured and orphaned wild animals, and a calendar of upcoming ReMaine Wild events. The website includes a membership application page which can be printed from the site. The organization of the web site is guided by easy to read menus on the right side of the page, and pictures make the site interesting and attractive. Hall-Dale High School is in the process of radically revising how education is delivered to their students. Part of that revision is developing a new program of Academic Support Time on Wednesday afternoons. During Academic Support Time, students would have a chance to finish assignments, do make-up work that was assigned by teachers, take quizzes or tests they had missed, and get other sorts of academic support. Students could receive assignments from teachers, or they could self-assign.

The problem was that Academic Support Time (AST) assignments didn't come to the administrative office from the teachers until Tuesday afternoon. AST listings had to be posted on Wednesday morning so students could check their room assignments. Finding time to complete the AST assignments, and doing so in an efficient manner was a major issue for implementation of this project.

riverdog design developed a FileMaker Pro database containing all the necessary information. Student files were entered into one database and served as control information. Individual assignments were designated space in another database. This way only the necessary information had to be entered each week.

Ease of use was a major criteria. The database was designed with drop-down menus for most fields, ensuring that field entry could be made with a point and a click. Reports could be printed with a simple click of the button. Entry was as automated as possible to ensure fast, accurate data entry.
