We're at the interior construction stage. Spent the weekend before the hot tub arrived furiously painting and staining, and now Brenda's doing interior trim work on the windows and installing the wainscotting.
I've rearranged the pictures to show the most recent first, so if this is your first visit, start from the bottom of the page.
The south wall, with the protective film off the windows and the light coming in. The day I took this picture wasn't even a particularly sunny day.

A view of the west wall with the delivered hot tub!.
The guys finished shingling the south wall today, 10/3. Brenda had worked over the weekend, shingling the entire, west wall and the south wall up to the trapezoid windows. I got a first coat of paint on the trim over the weekend.
The inside drywalling is almost finished. Just a last coat of mud and a final sanding needed before we start to paint.
Another view of the drywalled interior. It gives an idea of what the view will be once we get the film off the windows.
The windows came in today (9/20). The men used a lift to carry up the high trapezoid window.
Brenda helped. I just tried to stay out of the way.
They got all the windows in on 9/20, except for the sliding glass door. It can't go in until the hot tub is delivered. All the window trim is forest green, with unfinished wood on
the inside.
I started the retaining wall the weekend of 9/18. The concrete blocks are 95 lbs. each (105 for
the corner pieces), so I figure I moved 1 1/2 tons of concrete. The roof is almost totally singled. 9/18/06

South wall was framed and sheeted next. Look at the window openings!

Our contractors sheeting the roof. From left, Don and Carl on ladders, Sheldon on ground.

East and West walls were framed first, 9/9/06
